NZ Tourism Funding Charter
The Charter calls on the next government to establish an enduring national framework that provides predictable funding for local tourism infrastructure, services, destination management, and industry-good activities. It proposes initial funding of around $220 million per annum, scaling with growth in the visitor economy and delivered through either a nationally coordinated tourism levy or a tourism dividend from existing Crown revenue.
The Charter was developed through discussions involving local government and tourism industry representatives, initially convened by Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown. It is intended to provide a common national platform that organisations across New Zealand can support and use to help shape a robust and enduring tourism funding framework.
Please review The Charter here and complete the form with your details if your organisation is willing to support it.
This form will close on Friday, 6 November.
