Welcome to the Auckland Live Cabaret Festival Scratch Night!
We’re looking for bold, beautiful, and in-progress ideas. Think cabaret, musical theatre, circus, magic, burlesque, drag, comedy — or something that refuses to sit neatly in a box.
You’ll have 5–15 minutes to test your work in a supportive live setting, taking the stage as part of the wider Auckland Live Cabaret Festival programme.
This form takes 15 minutes to complete. We’re not looking for a perfect pitch — we’re looking for spark.
Important Information
- Any ideas or material you submit remain your intellectual property. Auckland Live does not claim any ownership.
- This is an Auckland-based event. If selected, you will be responsible for any travel, freight, and accommodation costs associated with attending.
- The festival operates on a fast turnaround. If selected, technical equipment availability will be confirmed following discussion of your proposal.
- The total Scratch Night event will run for approximately 60 minutes. Each act will be allocated 5–15 minutes.
- Selected artists will receive a $200 fee per act (inclusive of rehearsals and performance), plus a Festival Pass.
- Artists must be available to attend one run-through prior to the event (TBC Tuesday 30 June or Wednesday 1 July).
- Submissions close Friday 3 April 2026.
